An adventure route through the Santander mountains
The Lengerke Route is a 4-day journey through Santander designed for dual-sport motorcycles, with mountain and unpaved stretches. Its name recalls Geo von Lengerke, the German who opened trails in this region in the 19th century. Rentamotos handles the trip logistics while you decide which bike to ride, where to eat and which hotel to stay in. The ideal bike is the Honda XRE300, which you can rent from us.

Day-by-day itinerary
DAY1Saturday, December 5Medellín → Tona
We leave Medellín early, heading for Santander. It is the longest day of the route: we ride east and climb into the Santander mountains to Tona, where we spend the first night.
DAY2Sunday, December 6Tona → Mesa de los Santos
A second day riding the Santander mountains to Mesa de los Santos, the plateau overlooking the Chicamocha Canyon, where we spend the second night.
DAY3Monday, December 7Mesa de los Santos → San Vicente de Chucurí
The adventure continues on mountain roads through Lengerke country to San Vicente de Chucurí, where we spend the third night.
DAY4Tuesday, December 8San Vicente de Chucurí → Medellín
Last day: we ride back to Medellín to close four days of adventure in Santander.
